Hands-on Training and Theoretical Knowledge

Boost Appliance Repairs is a repair service company that connects consumers to appliance technicians across the country. 

At Boost Appliance Repair Academy we believe that the only best way to learn the appliance repair technician trade is to combine theoretical and practical knowledge. This is why we offer online classes as well as hands-on experience that will enable you to confidently take up on various appliance repair jobs right after finishing the course.

FAQ

  • I have experience because I have repaired some appliances at my house. Do I still have to take the course?

    Yes. The course is designed to teach you not only how to repair home appliances but also how to be safe while at work. We want you and the consumer to be safe. For your own safety and for the safety of consumers the course will address safety precautions. Classes are a lot of fun. We have cookies, coffee, tea and pizza.

  • How long does it take to complete the whole program?

    From the moment you start your first class to the moment you completed the course it will take a total of 1 week. The training comprises: 2 days of theoretical classes. 2-3 days of hands-on training.

  • Are we going to have homework or assignments?

    Most of the work is done in class, but if you feel like you learn better by doing assignments, our instructor will give you some assignments to work on. In any event, the only homework you'll have to do is to watch a few videos that will strengthen your understanding about the home appliance repair.

  • What if I don't understand something during the class?

    Our instructors make sure that everyone in the class understands the material. You will be given time to ask your instructor questions. If you have questions or concerns, please address them during or after the class as recommended by your instructor.

  • I have experience in repairing appliances. Do I still need to go through entire program?

    Absolutely not. If you have proven record that you worked for an appliance repair company, you don't have to take any courses, but you will have to take the online test. It should only take less than 20 minutes to complete the online tests.

  • What if I don't feel comfortable taking jobs after a week?

    If you don't feel comfortable taking jobs after completing the program, our instructor will take the time to fill in the knowledge gaps until you feel 100% sure that you can take any kind of repair job.

  • I completed the course and I've got my certificate of completion. When do I start?

    As soon as you complete the course one of our representatives will contact you. If you haven't been contacted yet, make sure you submitted your correct contact information or simply email us at [email protected]

  • Everything is going pretty well. I am working for one month now, but I feel like I have a few questions about a new feature on an appliance that wasn't covered during the course.

    Just like any other industry, the home appliances industry evolves and modernizes daily. Features are added on all types of appliances. Luckily there are no major changes that happen overnight. Most of the home appliances work similarly even after new features have been added. If you are unsure about how a new feature works, contact our managers, and they will try to answer your concerns.
